STEP 1

Review all training pathways and decide which best suit your needs and situation

STEP 2

Complete a self-assessment to determine your suitability for the RPL Program (using the recognition Self-Assessment Guide)


STEP 3

Undertake a recognition assessment planning interview with an assessor (using the Recognition Assessment Plan) This will help you:

- identify appropriate forms of evidence.
- provide guidance on the use of recognitions tools; and
- how the assessment process works.

STEP 4

Compile your evidence (using a Recognition Evidence Report)

STEP 5

The trainer/assessor will review the assessment evidence and decide on the need for additional evidence on perceived gaps. You may be required to undertake a recognition interview to answer verbal questions or a practical assessment. At the end of the evidence gathering process you will be provided with written feedback regarding the assessment outcomes, including how to appeal the assessment outcome.

STEP 6

If you are not satisfied with the outcomes of your assessment you may appeal the outcome.

STEP 7

When all assessment and appeal processes have been completed and you have satisfactorily met all requirements you will be issued a statement of attainment.
